Film Festival Director's Bio

Aidan Terry, 14, is the writer, designer, animator, co-editor, and director of Some Like It Heavy,  an animated short film about a giddy old geezer who goes ga-ga over a gargantuan goddess. He started drawing at age three, and it soon became very clear that art was his passion. He started animation classes at age nine with John Teton of Earthlight Pictures in Santa Barbara, California, and made a three second animated loop after the first class. Some Like It Heavy, completed in January of 2007, runs 5 min 40 sec. and needed over 3000 drawings to complete. It is his second animated film and has been entered in 19 film Festivals world wide. His first, A Case On A Peel, started when it "popped into" his mind after about six months of classes when he was 9 1/2 years old. It required about 18 months and 850 drawings to complete. A Case On A Peel has screened in film festivals in the US, Canada, Europe, and South America.
